Rate: £450 - £550 per Day

Copello are recruiting for an Oxfordshire based Service Manager (Library) on an initial 6 month contract.
The Library Service Manager will be focussed on leading change management and driving forwards the development of a new vision across Cultural Services.
Responsible for a small team, the Service Manager will be accountable for ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures are followed, and that all services (Libraries, Museums, and History Services) are led and managed effectively. This includes managing the provision of outstanding, customer focused services and developing and implementing strategy to ensure that the service is responsive to expectation, priorities and resource imperatives. This will also include developing effective partnerships in line with the services’ objectives and working in accordance with the employers corporate values.
The successful Service Manager will have excellent knowledge of public library / cultural services and experience of working at a strategic level in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, a proven track record of strategic service planning, business and financial planning in a public library context and change management is essential.
It would be advantageous if the Library Service Manager was a Chartered Librarian (CILIP) and had experience of Project Management (PMP/ Prince2/ APM).
It is essential for the successful candidate to have a current, clean driving licence.
