Copello have partnered with an international organisation within the Defence industry, and we are now looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team in Hertfordshire.
The Principal Systems Engineer will be supporting across multiple projects, liaising with multiple discipline teams and stakeholders and acting as the SME on all things Systems Engineering.
As the Principal Systems Engineer, you will be involved in full project lifecycle and therefore it is an essential requirement to be able to demonstrate a proven and successful track record of being involved in projects from concept, requirement capture and through to delivery. In addition, the Principal Engineer will be able to lead and mentor as the Systems specialist and will have an extensive and demonstrable history of working with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS/ MATLAB/ RTC/ Rhapsody & SysML.
As a specialist within the project teams, the Principal Systems Engineer will have up to date knowledge of issues in relevant areas such as Electrical, Mechanical, Software, ILS, Human Factors, control & analysis. It would also be highly advantageous to have recent, proven experience of working and architecting in complex environments and implementing MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) concepts into projects.
The Principal Systems Engineer, MUST be eligible for SC clearance.
Suitable candidates will have extensive previous experience as a Systems Engineer with either an Engineering Degree or equivalent.
