Location: Hertfordshire - 3 days on site required 

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a well established Quality Assurance team within Electronic Engineering. In this role, you’ll support a variety of electronic equipment under development, helping to ensure quality standards are met, risks are minimised, and products are delivered reliably to customers.

You’ll work closely with Product Assurance Managers and engineering teams across major projects, playing a key part in preventing product non conformance and enhancing customer satisfaction.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating, reviewing, and maintaining equipment quality planning documentation.

  • Ensuring compliance with Electronic Engineering BMS (Business Management System) procedures.

  • Planning and supporting Product Life Cycle reviews, ensuring actions are tracked and completed.

  • Managing product non-conformance, including:

  • Facilitating the non-conformance process

  • Supporting defect investigations in both design and manufacturing

  • Providing data analysis and summary reports to senior management

  • Identifying and mitigating quality risks across in house equipment to reduce issues and improve satisfaction.

  • Supporting engineering process improvements and contributing to local audits.

  • Planning and delivering quality-focused micro-training sessions to help raise awareness, competency, and efficiency across the engineering team.


    What We’re Looking For

    • HNC/HND in Engineering or Quality Assurance, or strong equivalent experience.

    • Significant experience in Quality Assurance, ideally within Electronic Engineering.

    • Hands-on knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.).

    • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, particularly during development phases.

    • Strong analytical skills, including:

    • Ability to run and interpret Excel reports

    • Experience using SAP QM

    • Familiarity with document management tools

  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive improvements.
