Senior Category Buyer – Engineering Services

Copello Global are looking for a Senior Category Buyer of Engineering Services to work with an innovative transportation business who are entering into a very exciting year which should see them go into full-scale testing, manufacturing and launch of their product. This role would be working in a hybrid model home vs office environment (Reading) This is a pivotal role within the Procurement team which will help progress a new team through the supplier RFI, RFP / RFQ processes and establish the ones that are going to be used in the Engineering Services categories, which could include anything from: logistics, packaging, fleet management, utilities, soft FM, groundworks, CAPEX, maintenance, groundworks, infrastructure, land/building lease and service providers. Main responsibilities include: - Support the sourcing plan implementations and assist in the development of the category portfolio. - Lead sourcing activities and manage the RFQ, RFI and RFP Process - Support on commercial issues. - Lead cross functional teams through the strategic sourcing process. - Draft and negotiate agreements with suppliers following legal principals. Candidate background & experience: - Procurement experience within Engineering and related services categories - Team mentoring / leadership ability. - Excellent problem solving skills - Good team player, willing to work with and mentor more junior members. - Possess the ability to help out collectively on commercial issues even if unrelated to your assigned categories - 1 team mentality.
