Service Engineer

Copello have partnered with a marine technology business in the recruitment of a Service Engineer to join their team, working within the Aftersales part of the business.

The role is responsible for the mechanical technical support to the business customers and distributors, encompassing the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa. This will include scheduled servicing and maintenance as well as emergency breakdown cover. Duties will include:

- Providing full technical support for mechanical and electronic enquiries and training requirements 
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship 
- Liaising with customers on site and over the phone handling enquiries and technical queries
- Assisting with spare parts and working closely with coordinators to ensure customer satisfaction
- Delivering detailed work reports on completion of jobs for accountability
- Actively advising and promoting available products and solutions to customers

Ideal candidates will have:

- A formal qualification within engineering, e.g., BEng, HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience with hydraulics and mechanical controls
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and circuit diagrams, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, low voltage PLC and PCB panels
- Experience in PPM and fault finding on hydraulics and pneumatics systems on machinery and equipment
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach and practical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 

This is a permanent, full-time role, involving UK wide travel as well as occasional overseas travel too. The role is predominantly site-based when not travelling but offers some flexibility for remote working. On offer is a competitive salary plus car allowance, expenses and benefits package.
