Export Control Coordinator

We are now looking for an Export Control Coordinator to join our Export Control Department, striving to be the best we can, working for a better future. The location for the position is in Havant, UK, with some flexibility on home working as a hybrid solution after probation.

What you will be doing

In this position, your work will include handling of Export Licences, reviewing paperwork and recordkeeping. To excel in this role, you will need high attention to detail and great organisational skills. Understanding of Export Control is preferred, but internal and external training will be provided to the right candidate. For you to exceed in this role, we hope you can make proactive decisions to ensure compliance and challenge teams if something doesn’t feel right.

As Export Control Coordinator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Review, approval and recordkeeping for export controlled transactions
  • Preparing draft end user documentation (Consignee Undertakings & End User Undertakings)
  • Providing advice on the completion of end user documentation
  • Review & approval of end user documentation
  • Chasing end user documentation, when required
  • Export Licence determinations (OIEL & OGEL)
  • Export Licence applications (SIEL)
  • Maintaining both detailed & overview spreadsheets
  • Working with the Customer Service team to pro-actively ensure export control requirements (as above) are completed in a timely manner
  • Liaising with Despatch team to pro-actively ensure export controlled shipments are completed in a compliant and timely manner
  • Support Export Control Manager with other ad hoc export control tasks as required


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following attributes and skills:

  • Very high attention to detail
  • Able to work well independently
  • Cares about not making mistakes and very rarely makes the same mistake twice
  • Happy to work in an admin-intense role
  • Good with Microsoft Excel
  • Some experience of export control and/or exports
  • Experience with SAP system.
