High Integrity Software Manager

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Software Manager to join an established yet growing manned and unmanned operations and technology organisation on a permanent basis.

Our business is rapidly expanding in one of the most exciting and technically challenging areas of aerospace: that of Urban and Advanced Air Mobility. 

You will have experience of working in an avionic systems design setting and knowledge of flight control systems and key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Leading on systems integration activities

Developing system requirements and avionics architecture for the flight control system, including the selection of sensors, inceptors and actuators

Engaging with EASA 

Supporting flight test activities

Participating in standards activities such as EUROCAE WG-112

It is essential that the post-holder has experience of avionics systems design, experience of fault-tolerant system architectures for safety-critical systems and also knowledge of flight control systems.

Although based in Bristol, occasional travel to Salisbury may be required. A flexible, hybrid approach to work is encouraged where the role allows.

Desirable but not essential

• Knowledge of SAE ARP4754A
• Knowledge of EASA CM-SWCEH-001
• Knowledge of RTCA DO-254
• Knowledge of EASA SC-VTOL
• Knowledge of flight dynamics and flight models

• Experience of Simulink

Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC clearance if required.
