Early Careers Manager (Engineering)


F/T or P/T, permanent

Up to £64,000pa plus benefits

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Early Careers Manager to join an established technology organisation based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

Wea re looking for someone ideally with a background in engineering or some technical related experience to lead our graduate and apprenticeship programmes and also act as STEM ambassador.

This is a vital role for the organisation to support its continued growth and the post holder will be instrumental in helping them deliver successful outcomes to our customers.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Bring creative, innovative ideas and initiatives to fruition
  • Provide pre-employment opportunities for children in secondary education (12-18) through to undergraduates
  • Support and be actively involved in the recruitment and onboarding of recent graduate and apprentices
  • Identify ways in which early career programmes can be improved
  • Champion diversity within the organisation
  • Organise fun and engaging events such as recruitment campaigns and STEM events
  • Become the primary point of contact with key universities
  • Generate, advertise, and recruit for undergraduate projects, summer placements and sponsorship opportunities
  • Design and run workshops, with support of the engineering team and wider business

Skills and experience

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working within Early Careers in an engineering environment
  • Experience of managing graduates and/or apprentices and have experience in designing and implementing learning programmes.
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience of project management
  • Knowledge of cyber or a safety regulated industry would be advantageous.

This role is available on a permanent basis and could be offered on either a full or part-time basis.

UK security clearance or eligibility to obtain is essential for this role.

Salary up to £64,000pa DOE plus benefits including hybrid working options.
