Application Support Engineer
Up to £45k + Package

Due to recently winning several high-profile programmes of work, the dynamic support team of a well-known company that specialises in the development of intelligent systems for smart city infrastructure is looking for an additional Application Support Engineer to join their team based in Poole.
This is a low volume, high engagement support role where 2nd and 3rd line skills are required to triage and resolve a range of application-based issues that may arise. This role would suit a problem-solver with good technical skills who is a confident communicator and stakeholder manager.
Travel into Poole would be required on a weekly basis but the role can be performed on a hybrid basis.
You will be tasked with providing support for an Intelligent Infrastructure System, investigating and resolving incidents in line with ITIL processes. You will test and raise defects, develop and maintain monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms, assist with internal & external communications in relation to resolution progress and promote a culture of high-level customer satisfaction.
Ideally, you will be coming from a support background in an enterprise environment that uses bespoke systems. You will have good knowledge of networks, cloud-based services, windows server and Linux Operating Systems as well as the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Knowledge of the ITIL framework and patch management would be beneficial but not essential.
Up to £45k + Bonus + Excellent overall package
