Area Sales Manager

Copello have partnered with a marine propulsion business in West Sussex, in the recruitment of an Area Sales Manager who will take control of Distributor management in the region.

The role will include:

• Working with the distributor sales team in their region to promote sales through the distributor
• Conducting adequate market research to determine new business, targeting specific customers and identifying the competition to incorporate into the strategic plan
• Monitoring all active projects and quotations
• Taking responsibility for negotiating selling prices to the customer complete with payment terms
• Following up on initial equipment installations
• Responsibility for implementing and monitoring the distributor partnership plans, measuring the distributor progress on a regular basis, at least quarterly.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Experience as Sales Manager with a proven track record in delivering business results
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to act as a capture team leader in complex projects.
• Tolerance to work under stress in a complex business environment
• Previous experience in the Marine sector/shipping yards is essential.
• Willingness to travel local and overseas.

This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible working opportunity and on offer is a base salary of up to £65K (DoE) plus car allowance.
