£80,000 - £90,000pa plus 10% bonus, private healthcare, 8% pension scheme, hybrid working

We are currently recruiting for a Senior level role for an established aerospace defence organisation based in Buckinghamshire.  Working with the Head of Engineering Projects, Programme Manager and Systems Design Authority the post-holder will be responsible for the engineering planning and execution of high value, high risk as well as technically complex programmes.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Delivery of development engineering planning and execution into the assigned programme, working in partnership with the Systems Design Authority and sub-team leads.

• Leading the creation of the engineering planning at the system level and directing the planning definition at lower levels.

• Ensure the governance structure is defined and maintained, and that the structure is aligned between programme and project levels for engineering.

• Working with the Programme Manager to define and manage the scope within the budget and timescales and drives the development team accordingly.

• Direct, motivate and provide leadership for the project technical leads and the broader engineering team

Candidates should have a technology/engineering degree or equivalent and relevant experience in engineering domains such as software, systems or mechanical. Project management experience would be desirable but is not essential.

Hybrid working is offered but the post-holder must be able to travel to Buckinghamshire at least twice a week.
