Copello Global are looking for an IT Support Lead to join the well-established team of a leading telecoms business on an initial 12-month FTC, working across a variety of project areas including Smart Cities, IoT, digital broadcasting and the UK’s transport and emergency services. This will suit a highly proactive individual looking to act as a single point of delivery for the UK Team.


The role

You will act as the main interface between the UK Team, overseas teams in the wider business and 3rd party support providers. You will be involved in providing hands-on technical fixes across areas including O365, SharePoint, Jira and Network Drives as well as managing 3rd parties to deliver support to the 350+ users in the UK. You will also be the security lead for the UK and work with the corporate and UK team to ensure best practices. This will ideally be based in Reading, but could consider someone in the Midlands, North West or Scotland. The role will require 3 days a week in the office, with options for flexible hours.


Specifically, the role will involve:

  • Facilitating and coordinating fixes to resolve issues quickly, and to be proactive in identifying actions to help prevent future issues.
  • Being the key "go to" person for technical fixes on a suite of tools and systems and overseeing the introduction of new tools - from identification through to deployment.
  • Being accountable for providing support across O365, SharePoint, MS Teams, Network drives and Remedy - together with Security apps on laptops/networks and phones.
  • The role is likely to widen as more systems are added to the portfolio.


The experience

The successful candidate will have a proven background in an operational IT Support role from 1st to 3rd line, with natural instincts to put your customer first and a history of going “over and above” stakeholder expectations.


Specifically, you should have:

  • A thorough knowledge of MS tools including Office365, SharePoint & Teams
  • A good understanding of enterprise-level security considerations and solutions.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and think creatively to resolve the unexpected.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Experience working with 3rd parties to provide services.
  • Knowledge of Jira would be advantageous.
