Principal Cyber Security Architect
Glasgow, Lanarkshire (Hybrid – 2 Days per Week on Site)
Up to £95k p.a. + Package
Opportunity for a Security Cleared Security Architect to join a global leader in Defence and Engineering and work, with a relative degree of autonomy, on a number of IT transformation projects that fall within the National Security space.
The Security Architect will work on programmes, varied in size and complexity, that will deliver IT transformation and new service capabilities to a range of high-profile clients. This will entail ensuring that solution security designs meet both functional and non-functional requirements as well as to agreed security standards (HMG, ISO27001, JSP). This will be a client-facing role and will require interfacing with multiple stakeholder communities, internally and externally.
You will develop both high and low-level architectural designs and you will develop and deliver specific elements within wider solution programmes whilst understanding how and where these fit into the overall landscape. Understanding and articulating risk will be a core aspect of the role as well as meeting challenges associated with accrediting within public and private cloud environments.
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect who is comfortable in a client-facing role, articulate in communicating risk and able to produce quality high and low-level architectural designs. Experience gaining accreditations as well as producing and maintaining documentation is essential.
It is key that you possess experience in delivering a multi-layered approach to security architecture and also possess a proven track record of applying effective protective security controls in regulated environments. Understanding of different lifecycles and methodologies would be highly advantageous.
From a technical perspective, it is critical, along with the ability to produce high quality architectural designs that you have a robust understanding of network & boundary protection, defining system security requirements (and managing traceability) and security infrastructure within Public and Private Cloud environments.
Experience will be prioritised over certifications but CISSP / SABSA / TOGAF would be beneficial.
