The Role

The Mission Systems Cyber Engineer will understand and develop cyber and safety requirements for computing across platforms and support solutions within a high-profile programme for one of the world’s leading defence & aerospace companies.

You will enhance cyber security and functional safety to various aspects of the engineering lifecycle including planning and delivery, governance, configuration controls and reporting. You will interface with team members and relevant stakeholders daily, contribute to engineering activities within your area of focus and ensuring that solutions are cost effective and robust.

Requirements

The Mission Systems Cyber Engineer will have an academic background in a STEM subject, engineering experience (ideally in either mission systems, hardware, firmware, systems engineering) and knowledge of the engineering lifecycle, system safety and computing. We are looking for a task focused engineer who is comfortable working as part of a team. Experience with object-oriented design and model-based engineering tools would be beneficial but not essential for this role.

Security Clearance

Active SC Clearance is required to begin work with eligibility and willingness to obtain DV (Developed Vetting) Clearance is also required.

Location

The location is a large testing and assembly facility based in Lancashire. Hybrid working is available but given the nature of and accessibility to the relevant networks, this is likely to be limited to one day a week from home.
