Skills Development Coach

I am on the look out for a Skills Development Coach to be part of a large international defence company. The position requires an electrical background and qualifications to be able to deliver practical and academic lessons. You will be part of a team who delivers outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices to will engage and inspire apprentices to build and develop their skill to full potential so being a clear communicator is essential.

Duties

• Developing and delivering knowledge and practical based lessons which meet the mandated learning outcomes of the Level 3 Engineering Technician Electrical Fitter Apprenticeship standard
• Managing the delivery, assessment and recording of the Electrical Fitter competency test as specified within company quality processes and policies
• Monitoring and providing developmental feedback to apprentices to assist in the identification of “readiness” for end point assessment
• Working collaboratively with the Electrical Fitter Capability Lead to design, develop and maintain the Electrical Fitter trade/capability test

Essential Skills

• L3 or above electrical qualification
• Electrical experience in a marine setting – Commercial & Naval Shipping background

Desired Skills

• Experienced in delivering Academic and Practical lessons
• Effective communicator, with a proven track record in delivering practical and theory-based learning in a college and work-based learning environment
• Level 3 / 4 Teaching Certificate
• Assessor Award qualification (or working towards)
