Copello are pleased to be partnered with a global aerospace and defence business recruiting for a Sales Manager to join their team operating globally and to be based in Germany.


The Sales Manager will lead on defining and implementing sales strategy covering Central and Eastern Europe whilst developing a comprehensive view of the defence market, technological offerings and mapping the competitive landscape.


As a natural sales leader, the Sales Manager will establish communication and build relationships with relevant stakeholders for both new opportunities and within current clients and partners.


Day to day responsibilities will include;


  • Develop and execute short, medium and long term plans to increase sales revenue within Central and Eastern Europe
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop project relevant sales strategies
  • Engage with strategic partners to optimize opportunities
  • Stay up to date with technology trends and be aware of business impacts, risks and new opportunities
  • Manage key relationships and further build on these relationships to identify new opportunities globally
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries ensuring timely and accurate response, and maximise new leads and sales opportunities through this communication
  • Report and forecast
  • Travel to visit customers and partners
  • Regularly attend trade shows
  • Work as a part of a matrix organisation and global team


To be considered the relevant Sales Manager will have a proven track record in a similar position (defence / electronics) sales in Central and Eastern Europe.


Extensive knowledge within the Aerospace and Defence market would be extremely advantageous, more specifically electronics products and systems (specifically Position, Navigation, Timing / simulation products or within C4ISR, EW or Sensor domain).


The Sales Manager will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to develop strong relationships with customers and partners seamlessly.


It is an essential requirement for the successful applicant to be eligible for MOD security clearance.


This position will be based in Germany, with regular travel to globally. It is essential for the successful Sales Manager to speak fluent German.
