Russell Baker
Director
I’m Russell, a Director at Copello. After being in the Recruitment industry since 2005, I took the plunge to start Copello in 2018. It came to a point in my old company where I would get into my car and want to drive anywhere but work. I had become disillusioned with the industry so set about establishing a people focused recruitment business driving performance through culture. I wanted to reset the industry’s approach to the market and create a new benchmark for talent solutions for our customers.
Luckily, Lisa believed in this vision and ever since we have invested all our energy in creating and shaping our business. Its been an amazing journey!
I am passionate about working collaboratively with clients to provide a long-term, sustainable talent solution and it’s been a pleasure to work with our customers to help to find great talent and establish their employee brand. I also love developing our brand.
Outside of work I am currently in full on midlife crisis mode which has involved growing my hair slightly, getting tattoos and learning to ride a motorbike. I am also partial to a craft beer and a walk with my family.
Lisa Pinhorne
Director
I am Lisa, a Director of Copello. I started my career in recruitment straight from Uni in 2004, a few years after becoming a mum I had strong desire to re-claim my identity and to focus on a change in career to refresh my drive and satisfaction alongside being a parent. Having the opportunity to work alongside Russell to build Copello has given me all of that and more and it has been so refreshing to be able to focus on recruiting and organically growing the team whilst staying true to what we all value and our purpose.
I am a genuine person who’s empathetic and I stay committed to this to ensure both individually and as a team we are providing the best service and to some extent a unique one. Our focus is relationship first. Its what a lot of companies say but don’t do. We want our customers to feel like we genuinely value them, because we do.
I am a dedicated mum to my amazing 6 year old daughter and love nothing more than spending time with her outdoors or near the sea, which is my favourite place to be. More recently I have been showing my old age with some DIY and gardening although I am not actually as boring as this may sound and also really enjoy a night “out out” or in with a wine or two!
Becki Evans
Director
I joined Copello in January 2021, having previously worked the past 10 years in recruitment, delivering permanent and interim contract recruitment services. What a breath of fresh air! You definitely become sceptical after a decade of KPI’s and questionable management, but finding a business that listens, appreciates and does what they say they will is a rare find.
I work very closely with my clients to build excellent working relationships based on honesty and full transparency, delivering to all levels throughout a business. I pride myself on having a focused, passionate approach, delivering exactly what I say I will, whilst bringing enthusiasm to the working environment.
Outside of work, my life is just as busy (if not more)! I’m a family-orientated girl and love nothing more than spending time with my partner, little boy Elliott and dog Polly. I have a huge passion for all things food, and regularly blog my new recipes and ideas for others to enjoy! I’m also a qualified PT, so when I’m not being Mum or whipping up a storm in the kitchen, you can find me in the gym or over on the green putting my friends through their paces in a circuits-style class!
Scott Thornton
Director
I have been in Recruitment since 2006, working for both large corporate and SME businesses, all within Technical Engineering. I have a proven track record of delivering high level service to clients & candidates across the entire Recruitment process, along with a track record in building successful teams & developing talent.
Having watched Copello since its inception, I was delighted to join to help drive the business forward through 2024 and beyond, building on an already incredibly successful brand. Copello is a business that shares my values and beliefs putting its staff first and providing the best environment for staff to flourish in.
Outside of work I am dad to two young children who take up a significant amount of my time! On the rare occasion I can escape I can generally be found on the golf course enjoying a few hours peace.
Emma Homann
Lead Consultant
My name is Emma, and I joined Copello in February 2020 as a Senior Recruiter.
I joined Copello when we were just a team of 4 and have been a part of the growth to now a fantastic, buzzing, hardworking and motivated team of experienced recruiters.
In my current role, I focus on recruiting within Engineering and Technology partnering with businesses primarily within Defence. I love the challenge of working on the hard to fill vacancies and engaging with the network that I have developed in the last 18 months.
Outside of work, I enjoy any social event – ideally with a glass of wine in hand. Visiting nice restaurants and spa days are my favourite things to do. I enjoy taking part in sporting events, going to the gym and also spend lot of my time cooking, and eating vegetarian culinary delights!
Martin Tidbury
Head of Contract
[12:07] Martin Tidbury
Hello there, I’m Martin, Head of Contract at Copello. I have worked in the Recruitment Industry since 2006 and have been fortunate to work with some amazing companies across a number of industries including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Mobility, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Defence, with a specialism in contract recruitment across engineering skills.
I work with each of my clients closely to build working relationships based on honesty and full transparency, delivering to all levels. I pride myself on having a focused, passionate approach, delivering exactly what I say I will, when I say I will.
Outside of work you will either find me on the Golf Course (Corhampton Golf Club), where I am Club Captain for 2023, out walking my dog, or just spending time with my family.
Claire Wolstencroft
Head of Marketing and Employer Branding Solutions
I joined Copello in December 2021, having previously worked in Recruitment Marketing for over 11 years, gained from small boutique niche consultancies to larger recruitment firms across the South Coast. I originally met both Russell and Lisa at one of these recruitment agencies and continued to maintain a close relationship with them both over the years.
I decided to make the move to Copello after seeing their continued growth and success over the years and genuinely falling in love with the Copello brand and everything it stands for.
Copello is refreshing. It’s a place where everyone is valued and where genuine relationships are formed. Russell and Lisa are very pro-marketing and appreciate its value – which makes for a great job for me! With access to the latest tools and technology and a deep passion to reshape the way we do recruitment the future is truly exciting for Copello and its key partners.
At the weekends I like to stay active and love being outside, whether its running, cycling, sea swimming or playing nerf guns with my little boy.
Kerry Robert
Office Manager
Hi, my name is Kerry I am an Office Manager for Copello, I joined in August 2022.
My background is in Leisure, Travel and Events along with a wealth of administration experience. I’m highly organised and take pride in being a perfectionist. I fully commit to all tasks and get great pleasure in helping others. Outside of work I love to keep busy by spending time with my family and friends, travelling abroad, walking my dog and going to the gym.
Myles Murphy-Young
Lead Recruitment Consultant
I am Myles, Information Security Recruiter at Copello Global. Having joined Copello in the summer of 2020, it has been a pleasure working for a growing company that puts people first and demonstrates strong core values aligned with my own.
Being able to work remotely overseas has afforded me an invaluable balance between challenging, rewarding work and the ability to see the world and squeeze in a few adventures on the way.
For over 5 years I have had the privilege of working within Information Security both in recruitment and sales. The people, the stories and the sense of community is like no other sector I have worked in and represent some of the core reasons behind my wanting to stay for years to come.
When I’m not recruiting, I’m likely hiking in the forest with my dog, playing football or cooking some sort of stew. In Bruges is my favourite Christmas film, I can juggle and have also done the world’s highest commercial bungee jump.
Joel Celestine
Lead Recruitment Consultant
I’m Joel and I joined Copello in Jan 2021.
After 9 years within my previous recruitment job, I decided to make the move to Copello after seeing their growth within the market. It was a big decision to make the move, though it has proved a great decision joining an organisation without the bureaucracy and endless meetings about KPI’s taking up most of my day , leaving me to be able to do my job by providing a great service to our clients.
In my current position, I am focussing on recruitment within the Engineering and Defence market, including contract vacancies. I enjoy the fast-paced work within the contract market, as well as building strong relationships with the best interim talent in the market to support our clients new and existing projects.
In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit in the gym, as well as socialising with friends in the local pubs and bars. I spend a lot of time watching sports, I particularly enjoy football and I am a long-suffering Arsenal fan (I promise they used to be good!!), though I do enjoy watching my local team Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Aaron Edwards
Senior Recruitment Consultant
My name is Aaron and I have been working in recruitment since 2018, where I supported large Tier 1 Contractors & Consultancies across the UK’s Water industry, supporting within their Engineering, Commercial and Design teams.
Having recently joined Copello and re-engaging with former colleagues, I’m really excited to add to their collaborative nature and play a crucial role in expanding the business across its core areas, Defence, Engineering and Security. My strengths are in sales and building relationships, I’m looking forward to expanding my network and connecting with industry experts across a variety of disciplines & organisations.
As a Dad of two boys and a third on the way, in my spare time I’m likely to be out burning some of their energy or hiding on the golf course from the Wife. I also play Australian Football in the Summer and Rugby in the winter.
Josh Moss
Recruitment Consultant
Hi, I’m Josh, an experienced Recruitment Consultant who has worked within the industry for over four years. During this time, I’ve operated across Permanent, Contract and Bespoke Search Agreements to support my clients the way they want to be supported.
Having come from a background in Major Infrastructure and Local Authority Highway Service Contracts, I helped support clients with their Operational, Commercial and Designs hires for some of the largest Infrastructure pieces in the UK.
Due to my hard work, commitment and taking a transparent approach to the Recruitment process, focusing on quality and not quantity, I was able to establish fantastic relationships with some of the largest Contractors and Consultancies within the Infrastructure space.
However, after four years, I wanted to make a change and embark on a new challenge; I was beyond excited to accept an opportunity to dive into the world of Defence with Copello Global.
But …. it can’t be all work focused, so let me share some personal insights. Outside of work I play 5-a-side football and I’m always attempting to be a golfer, which being honest, very rarely works out! I have a strong interest in watching both Football and Rugby, holding a season ticket for my home city club! During the winter, I love to hit the slopes, whether this is on a Snowboard or Skis. Throughout the summer I go to an array of festivals and try to get away on holiday as much as possible, be this city or beach breaks, it’s all about the exploration.
Kalon Robinson
Recruitment Consultant
My name is Kalon, I’ve been out of recruitment for a few years working in insurance but previously worked in the Automotive industry within the engineering technology sector.
Working in customer focused roles, I have developed my experience and skills in building relationships and identifying needs, and look forward to putting these to full use. I have wanted to return to the recruitment industry for sometime, so when the opportunity to join Copello and recruit for the defence sector presented itself, there was no hesitation!
Outside of work I’m a big Arsenal fan (yes, I’ve had to suffer mickey taking for a number of years!). Always keeping busy, I play a lot of golf (sometimes poorly) and football for a local team.
Jennifer Watt
Senior Partnership Delivery Consultant

Ella Mackenzie-Sly
Partnership Delivery Consultant
I recently joined Copello in February 2022 as a part-time recruitment resourcer. I started working in recruitment as a resourcer in 2021 and have moved to Copello to develop my skills in the defence sector and to hopefully kick start my future career.
Outside of work I am a final year university student at the University of Portsmouth. I am studying for my bachelor’s degree in psychology and will be graduating this summer! I love going out for food and cocktails with friends and family, and walking my dog, Teddy, a cockapoo (it was an original name 13 years ago!). I am also unfortunately a Southampton fan (blame my dad), which doesn’t go down well in Portsmouth as you can imagine!
Daryl Clarke
Partnership Delivery Consultant
Hey, I’m Daryl!
I’ve recently joined Copello in September 2022. I’ve only been in recruitment for 12 months but since then I have really found a love for it!
My main experience is in Defence and Security, since learning about this world I’ve been super interested in the work they do, this has given me the ambition to learn more and more from candidates and clients out there.
When I’m not recruiting I really enjoying going to the gym and experimenting in the kitchen!
Emma Worley
Partnership Delivery Consultant
I’m Emma and have joined Copello with 4 years recruitment experience under my belt. I have a variety of industry experience but mostly within the defence sector recruiting for both permanent and contract positions. I find the field interesting and love helping people find their dream roles and giving a great customer service along the way. I hope to be successful in my new role and bring some technical knowledge to the team.
Outside of work you will most likely to find me in the gym and out on walks (whatever the weather!)… or with a glass of gin to hand.
In the community
We don’t just make an impact to our clients; we are committed to working within organisations within our local community to make a lasting impact through sponsorship and volunteering.
Copello are proud to have supported and sponsored Emma, our incredible Head of Partnership Development in her first ever Marathon.
Spanning across the New Forest and covering a huge 26.2 miles, the race is not the faint hearted!
COPELLO TO SUPPORT SCRATCH – FIGHTING LOCAL POVERTY
Copello have selected to work with SCRATCH as a charity. They provide services which relieve the effects of hardship, disadvantage and poverty for individuals and families in Southampton and Hampshire.
SCRATCH was set up locally to support this and provide a care package for families that have very little. This is called the DORCAS project which includes a sofa, kettle, toaster, beds, and curtains. A starter kit essentially which costs £170. Unlike bigger charities who have millions in reserve, they always have a budget deficit.
It was shocking to read that 34.7% of children in Southampton live in poverty, which is around 16,000. This is increasing not decreasing but it rarely ever gets spoken about.
When we went there, they told us a story about an 8-year-old who was so pleased with his bed he was showing the social worker. He had never had one before and until then had slept on the floor using his clothes as a pillow. Its incredible that in such a rich society we still have families living like this.
As well as helping SCRATCH with fund raising we will also be lending support with their Social Media so please follow them!
We think it’s a worthy charity where we can make an impact.
SCRATCH are always looking for donations, if you are disposing of furniture which is in a usable condition, please get in touch with them.
Donate NowCopello Sponsors Emma on her Marathon
Emma showed true resilience and determination throughout her training and on the day itself, and raised an incredible £1385 for our chosen charity, SCRATCH.
Running 26.2 miles throughout the New Forest, Emma completed the course in under 4 hours 20!
She has since completed various other runs including the Great South Run and the Gosport and Bournemouth Half Marathon, but in true Emma style, she isn’t happy until she completes another Marathon in under 4 hours.
Training is in place for the Brighton Marathon 2024…..
