Senior Infrastructure Engineer
12 month Contract – Inside IR35 (2/3 days p/week onsite)

We are working with a client in the Public Sector on a project which is looking for an experienced Jira/Confluence administrator to lead, design and perform migration, in addition to providing ongoing business-driven enhancement and ad-ministration of Jira and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and design the migration of Jira and Confluence projects/spaces and users to a new installation.
  • Provide ongoing administration and enhancements for Jira and Confluence.
  • Develop new, bespoke Jira projects to support business needs.
  • Integrate Jira with ServiceNow for strategic incident management.
  • Perform performance tuning of Jira and Confluence.
  • Work closely with users in an agile project development environment to understand and meet their needs.
  • Co-design effective Jira workflows/schemes with delivery leaders.
  • Design and manage an administration function for regular requests (new users, new spaces, customised workflows/schemes).
  • Review and improve security groups and roles for better management.
  • Ensure effective communication between stakeholders during design and transition phases.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Expert-level knowledge and deep experience in Jira and Confluence.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian plugins, including writing Groovy scripts for ScriptRunner.
  • Experience in safely migrating Jira and Confluence projects/spaces and users.
  • Ability to co-design effective Jira workflows/schemes.
  • Experience in designing and running an administration function for regular requests.
  • Strong skills in reviewing and improving security groups and roles.
