Organisational Design Specialist
3 month contract – Inside IR35 – Bristol (2/3 days p/week)
Defence Business Services (DBS) is developing its Future Shared Services Operating Model (SSOM) to transform how it operates by 2030. We’re seeking an experienced Organisational Design & Change Specialist to support this transformation—redesigning structures, aligning with Defence Reform, and helping build a high-performing, future-ready organisation.

We’re seeking an experienced Organisational Design & Change Specialist to support this transformation—redesigning structures, aligning with Defence Reform, and helping build a high-performing, future-ready organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead organisational design and structure implementation
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including HR, Finance, Delivery Partners, and Trade Unions
- Develop job descriptions, evaluate roles, and support skills analysis and upskilling plans
- Manage change processes and support leaders through transformation
- Promote a culture of learning and innovation, leveraging new technologies
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
- Experience in organisational design, change management, or HR
