Data Governance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Governance Manager to lead the implementation of our Environmental Data Strategy and ensure the effective governance of our environmental data assets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting environmental data governance policies, frameworks, and standards, and ensuring the monitoring of adherence to these. You will also be accountable for understanding and managing our organisational environmental data risks and issues, and coordinating with data owners to accept or resolve them. Required Skills and Responsibilities: 

• Proven experience in data governance and environmental data management
• Strong understanding of data governance policies, frameworks, and standards
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to lead and manage projects and teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data enterprise architecture and AI
• Ability to advise and support developments in data security  

Nice to Have Skills

• Knowledge of data security development and best practices
• Experience with tooling and automation for data management
• Strong data literacy and understanding of environmental data governance

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, information systems, environmental science)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance and environmental data management
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects and leading teams

Other Requirements

• Minimum of BPSS clearance with SC eligibility 
• Ability to work from our offices at least once a week
