Commercial Manager
Inside IR35 – Initial 4 month contract – Hybrid (Bristol or London)

We are working with a client in the Public Sector who require a Commercial Manager on a large scale transformation project on an initial 4 month contract but likelihood of an extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic commercial advice on procurement routes, tendering, and contract management.
  • Lead complex end-to-end procurements, ensuring innovation and compliance with Defence policy and regulations.
  • Conduct supply market analysis to inform effective commercial strategies.
  • Engage with MOD, other government departments, and external bodies to leverage best practices and market insights.
  • Contribute to programme planning and development of procurement and contracting strategies.
  • Maintain and develop the CSM commercial pipeline, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate, insightful updates.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong commercial and communication skills.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influence.
  • Solid understanding of public sector procurement rules.
  • TPP e-training completed or willingness to complete.
  • Experience using CCS Frameworks and leading complex procurements.
  • Skilled in risk analysis and mitigation planning.
  • Proven ability to deliver bespoke tenders, negotiations, and contracts.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • CIPS level 4 – Desirable.
