Technical Project Manager required for a 9 month contract in Glasgow. The role is offered on an Outside IR35 basis with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week in the office, 2 remote.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Develop SQL scripts (stored procedures) and PySpark notebooks
- Build ingestion, ETL & ELT processes
- Design and configure Synapse pipelines
- Perform data modeling across various storage systems
- Analyze and improve existing data designs for performance and interoperability
- Provide support and guidance to Azure Data Engineers
- Manage GitHub branches
- Implement real-time data processing solutions
- Maintain technical documentation
- Work within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate technical project teams and resources
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives
- Develop and monitor detailed project plans
- Communicate expectations to stakeholders and team members
- Oversee design, development, and testing of Django web applications
- Ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Facilitate project mission, goals, tasks, and resource planning
- Ensure final deliverables meet client/business specifications
- Resolve conflicts across projects and functional areas
- Manage project changes and interventions to achieve desired outcomes
- Document all project aspects for future reference and audits
