Copello are working with a leading defence and technology business to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer to join their growing engineering team, supporting the development of cutting-edge solutions for future defence capability.
The Role:
- As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
- Apply your breadth of knowledge in Systems Engineering principles to develop robust technical solutions and resolve engineering challenges
- Decompose and manage system and sub-system requirements using tools such as IBM DOORS Next
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary specialists across electronics, electrical, mechanical, and software to deliver integrated system designs
- Support verification, validation, and customer acceptance activities by producing clear and credible technical evidence
- Build your profile with senior stakeholders while expanding your technical expertise within complex systems
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in one or more of the following: signal processing, target tracking, object classification algorithms, system and sensor optimisation
- Understanding of how real-world factors affect the performance of complex systems and sensors, and their impact on outputs
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288) and lifecycle processes
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work within cross-functional engineering teams
