Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in protecting our digital assets. Based in Farnborough with a 4-day-a-week work arrangement, this 7-month contract offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-stakes security operations in a dynamic setting.

If you hold active DV clearance and are ready to leverage your expertise in vulnerability management, system hardening, and security configuration, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Strong experience in AWS security configuration and VMware security management
• Proficiency in vulnerability scanning, reporting, and management tools
• Solid understanding of endpoint security protocols, network controls, and access management
• Hands-on experience with incident response, system hardening, and patch management
• Ability to evaluate security impacts of system changes and participate in security testing and assurance activities
• Effective communication skills for attending and leading security meetings and documentation tasks

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of industry standards such as CIS, STIG, and NIST
• Experience with security impact triage tools and security evaluation/testing processes
• Familiarity with code security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent

Other Requirements:

• Active DV clearance is mandatory; candidate must already hold DV clearance to start
• Willingness to work in Farnborough with a four-day onsite presence
• Flexibility to participate in various security forums, meetings, and documentation tasks
