Aircraft Avionics Technician
Salary - up to £36,500 plus package
Location - Lincolnshire
Security - Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be eligible for SC clearance and hold a British passport.
Copello are working with a leading Defence business who are looking for a skilled Avionics professional to support frontline military fast jets. You’ll be working on cutting-edge aircraft systems in a high-tempo, safety-critical environment, ensuring these advanced platforms remain mission-ready.
What you’ll do:
• Carry out maintenance from strip-down through to installation on aircraft avionic systems and components
• Conduct inspections during scheduled servicing, repairs, and upgrades
• Follow approved technical documentation for both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
• Act as a first signatory, taking responsibility for your work
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, complete all required paperwork, and prepare work for inspection
Required skills:
• Relevant aviation or military engineering apprenticeship (e.g. City & Guilds 2675/2661)
• Recent experience working on Fast Jet aircraft in a technical aviation environment
• Strong understanding of Part 145 / MAOS maintenance standards and quality procedures
• Knowledge of depth maintenance documentation
