Manufacturing Electronics Engineer
Copello is currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Electronics Engineer to join a leading manufacturing team based in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity to support product assembly across all stages of integration and test within a highly dynamic engineering environment.
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
Working Pattern: 5 days per week on-site (due to workload classification)
Security Clearance: British Citizen required
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum, and following offer stage, all successful candidates will be required to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks.

The Opportunity:
As a Manufacturing Electronics Engineer, you will service and support Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). The role offers a varied, interesting and technically challenging workload within a focused and collaborative team environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing function across all stages of product assembly, integration and test. Working closely with engineers and support functions, you will resolve both routine and non-routine technical issues. Responsibilities will include:

Supporting routine calibrations

Commissioning and drift analysis
-
Fault finding and repair of test equipment

Maintenance activities down to component level
You will be part of an experienced engineering team supporting complex test platforms used in the manufacture and test of highly sophisticated systems. Training will be provided to enable you to calibrate and support special-to-type factory test equipment across a broad range of technologies from DC through to Microwave.

What we’re looking for:

HNC/HND (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience

Experience in calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level

Ability to interpret instructions, handbooks, drawings and specifications to provide technical guidance

Strong understanding of calibration principles and processes

Experience conducting measurements and repairs down to component level

Ability to mentor junior team members when required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different audiences

Working knowledge of SAP (desirable)

Experience working with Environmental Chambers (advantageous)
