Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Management: Capture, analyse, and manage system requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined, verifiable, and traceable throughout the lifecycle.
- System Design: Develop and optimise system architectures and components, balancing performance, cost, size, and other constraints.
- Interface Management: Manage technical interfaces between subsystems and external systems, ensuring interoperability and performance targets are achieved.
- Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V): Develop and execute IV&V strategies, ensuring compliance with requirements through structured testing and validation.
- Product Qualification: Lead certification and qualification activities to ensure systems meet relevant defence/aerospace standards for operational deployment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, electrical, and mechanical engineers, as well as project stakeholders.
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of system-level issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience within the defence or aerospace sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Requirements management
- System design
- Interface management
- Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V)
- Product qualification
- Familiarity with relevant defence and/or aerospace standards and regulations.
- Experience using engineering tools for modelling, simulation, and analysis.
- Strong technical leadership capability.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, MBSE methodologies, and MATLAB.
