Project Manager
6 months (Inside IR35) – 4 days on site in Whiteley (Hampshire) – Active SC required

Role Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects to agreed timelines, cost, and quality standards. This includes managing risks, allocating tasks, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
Projects will include both internal product development (New Product Introduction – NPI) and external customer-facing deliverables. The role also involves managing technically complex systems and building strong customer and business relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects involving existing products and new or bespoke solutions in line with contractual requirements.
  • Manage new product development through the NPI process, ensuring products are suitable for volume production and meet quality standards.
  • Work with Operations to oversee initial production units and maintain visibility of supply chain activities to meet delivery milestones.
  • Manage integration of internally produced and third-party components prior to compliance testing.
  • Ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and managing change control processes.
  • Work with Department Heads to allocate resources and escalate issues where required.
  • Manage subcontractors and key third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management processes and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Support additional project activities such as installation, commissioning, training, and coordination with in-country partners where required.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to support management decision-making.

Skills, Experience & Competencies
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing technically complex projects.
  • Experience leading teams and managing stakeholders.
  • Degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related discipline (essential).
  • Project management training (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and general engineering practices (desirable).
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, “can do” approach.
