We are currently looking for Mechanical Technicians on an initial 6-month contract in Dorset.
Rates: £25-30 per hour dependant on experience Inside IR35
Contract: 6 months initially
Work Pattern: Onsite
Role Overview:
The purpose of a Mechanical Assembler is to assemble components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools, to create mechanical parts and products. This role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as using measuring and testing instruments to ensure parts are assembled correctly. The Mechanical Assembler must also ensure that safety protocols are always followed and that products are assembled to the highest quality standards.
- Fit parts and subassemblies together
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and other technical documents
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
Specific Job
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to produce complete products.
- Use of hand tools and light machinery to assemble components.
- Fit components and check for accuracy and quality.
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.

Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly.
