We are seeking two OT Field Engineers for an initial 6-month assignment, with a strong likelihood of extension to 12 months or more. This is an exciting opportunity to support the UU in conducting Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) Asset Surveys across approximately 270 sites, playing a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency and technological advancement.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with technical project delivery, ensuring targets for time, cost, and quality are met.
- Support project start-up activities by attending internal meetings and providing valuable technical insights.
- Develop design deliverables for instrumentation, control, and automation projects, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, IoT, and data networks.
- Assess, document, and communicate design modifications.
- Participate in technical reviews, FATs, SATs, configuration audits, and UAT.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through post-project feedback.
- Collaborate with site teams and contractors, especially within water and wastewater processing environments.
Required Skills:
- Electrical qualifications or apprenticeship training.
- Extensive instrumentation and process control knowledge.
- Proficiency with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, IoT technologies, and Data Networks.
- Experience in site supervision of ICA/SCADA contractors across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with preparation and review of design documentation such as URS and specifications.
- Experience with FAT, SAT, configuration, and UAT activities.
- Awareness of sustainability principles and whole-life cost considerations.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with adaptive style.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in water and wastewater processing projects.
- Additional certifications related to OT and instrumentation.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with diverse stakeholders.
