The Opportunity
Copello are working with a technology-focused manufacturing business that is looking for an experienced Production planner or scheduler to join their team.
This role will be responsible for developing and managing production plans, balancing customer demand with manufacturing capacity, materials and inventory to support on-time delivery and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production plans and Master Production Schedules (MPS).
- Balance customer demand, forecasts, backlog, inventory and manufacturing capacity.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to support production and materials planning.
- Identify capacity and material constraints and develop solutions where required.
- Monitor production performance, customer commitments and delivery requirements.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and wider business stakeholders.
- Support scenario planning, schedule changes and new product introductions.
- Help maintain appropriate inventory and safety stock levels.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the planning process.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in production planning, production control, supply planning, materials planning or scheduling.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or technology-focused environment.
- Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling and capacity planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to time-sensitive requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
Experience within aerospace, defence, electronics, engineering or another complex manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
