Research & Development Engineer
Location: Fareham, Hampshire – on site.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus package.
Copello is looking for an R&D Engineer to join a specialist technology business developing innovative engineering solutions for challenging environments.
This is a varied, hands-on position covering electronics, embedded software, prototype development and testing. Recent graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, assemble and modify electronic circuits and PCBs.
- Develop and debug embedded software, primarily in C.
- Build prototypes, test systems and investigate technical faults.
- Use laboratory equipment to verify performance and reliability.
- Support system integration, commissioning and technical documentation.
About You:
- Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Practical experience in either electronic hardware design or embedded C development.
- Basic working knowledge of the other discipline.
- Confident using test equipment, reading schematics and troubleshooting issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach.
Desirable:
- STM32 or other Arm Cortex-M development.
- MTBF or FMEA analysis.
