The Role
The Senior Training Analyst is responsible for analysing DSAT documentation and training course data to deliver compliant training needs evaluations. The role supports the development of effective training solutions that meet defined requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work as part of a team to analyse, design, maintain, review, and produce DSAT documentation and processes for military training environments.
- Identify and respond to new or changing training requirements based on customer specifications.
- Analyse, capture, and clearly articulate training needs.
- Recommend optimal training solutions, balancing time, cost, and quality considerations.
- Produce and maintain training design documentation, including:
- Formal Training Statement (FTS)
- Training Performance Statement (TPS)
- Training Objectives (TOs)
- Workplace Training Statement (WTS)
- Residual Training Gap Statement (RTGS)
- Conduct Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude/Attribute (KSA) analysis to develop accurate Learning Scalars (LScalar).
- Request, review, and interpret existing training documentation.
- Engage with subject matter experts to gather required data.
- Participate in workshops and produce reports based on analytical findings.
- Support evaluation of course data and continuous improvement activities.
- Promote and support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support training service delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels internally and with customers.
- Proven experience in training analysis, including contribution to significant training programmes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detailed knowledge and practical experience of UK Ministry of Defence procedures, particularly the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
