Role Overview:
The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces in accordance with aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures the aircraft’s exterior is protected, visually compliant with branding specifications, and maintained to the highest safety and quality standards.

Role Overview:
The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces in accordance with aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures the aircraft’s exterior is protected, visually compliant with branding specifications, and maintained to the highest safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality paint finishes that meet technical and aesthetic specifications
- Ensure all work complies with aviation safety regulations and company procedures
- Maintain proper use and care of painting tools, equipment, and materials
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards, including hazardous material handling
- Complete assigned tasks within project timelines and production schedules
- Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
- Mix paints and coatings to required specifications
- Apply paint using spray guns and other specialised equipment
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with standards
- Perform touch-ups and repainting as required
- Carrying out the re-sealing of panels removed during maintenance
- Carrying out polishing of painted surfaces/ bright-work/ interior parts
- Remove old paint and corrosion safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
- Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure work areas are clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and supervisors as needed
- Performing of any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in aircraft painting or industrial painting (aviation experience preferred)
- Knowledge of painting techniques, coatings, and finishing processes
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards
- Ability to use spray painting equipment and surface preparation tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights
- Understanding of health and safety practices, including handling hazardous materials
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant certifications or vocational training in painting or aviation maintenance (desirable)
