Role Overview:
Managing a Quality team comprising of Quality Engineers over two manufacturing facilities. Being responsible for the overall quality of products released by the company. Responsible for developing the Quality Management System, strategy, policies, processes, standards and for the Company and its supply chain to operate within. Performing Audits to verify quality of processes and overseeing Quality to ensure requirements are met.

Role Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Supervising and assisting the Quality team
- Responsible for developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the Company and its supply chain to operate within.
- Complying with ISO, NADCAP & Customer accreditation requirements
- Maintaining controlling oversight of non-conformities and MRB activities
- Keeping relevant records up to date and archived in line with requirements
- Providing training to staff as/when required. Ensure team are working to the required standard.
- Dealing with internal/external customers regarding NCR’s/NOE’s
- Liaising with auditors over auditing of the facilities and approvals
- Managing and maintaining calibration system.
- Managing workload among Quality Engineers and ensure actions are being completed promptly and to the standard required.
- Ensure any Audit open findings are closed out efficiently.
- Continually seeking to improve quality activities
- Ensuring organisation is upheld within his/her areas of responsibility
- Monitoring production and doing periodic Quality Control checks
- Implementing improvements to production processes that lead to overall increases in product quality
- Working together with team leaders to discuss solutions to quality issues
- Ensure team check materials provided by suppliers and assure quality before incorporation into the product.
- Investigating causes of quality problems and proposing solutions
- Training new Quality employees
- Performing any other duties within capabilities as directed by the company
Qualifications:
- Previous technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards
- Knowledge of NADCAP desirable
- Previous experience in a quality role
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques, MRB, Root Cause’s
- Experience in hosting and completing Audits
- Use of ERP systems, Excel, Word, Q-Pulse
- Strong communication and team leading skills
- Results focused and desire to achieve
