New requirement for a Project Engineer with a passion for asset management and supporting military systems?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join a demanding project supporting the maintenance and operational readiness of military assets. This contract role offers a diverse environment with collaboration across multiple teams, and a strong chance to make a tangible impact within a major defence project. The position spans nine months, offering competitive daily rates and the flexibility of a partly remote working arrangement.

Key responsibilities include supporting the In-service Engineering Manager, coordinating engineering activities, monitoring in-service issues, and providing technical data to stakeholders. You will work closely with Project Managers, engineers, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives are achieved. This role requires active security clearance, significant stakeholder engagement, and a hands-on approach to technical support.

Ideal candidates will possess an engineering qualification at level 4 or higher, be professionally registered as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) or equivalent, and have demonstrable experience in technical advice, asset management, or military equipment environments. Experience working on complex, large-scale engineering programmes with diverse stakeholder groups is highly preferred.

Must-have skills include strong communication, coordination, and documentation abilities, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving. The role requires travel to sites in Bristol and Merthyr Tydfil, with some WFH flexibility.
